Aleksandra aka Bonnie is the heart of the Berlin scene – a professed Kate Moss fan and fashionista. With plenty of dedication and a great instinct for the right sound at the right time, she is bringing joy to Berliners hearts with her regular events in the Pauly Saal and with her music consulting company Musique Couture.
Which is more important, hearing or seeing?
They are both important. I think the idea of not being able to hear anything is worse than not being able to see.
Why?
In my life everything is about music. There is nothing better in my eyes. Music is my passion. My work as DJ and music consultant would be impossible without my hearing.
As a creative person, what’s your vision for your personal work?
My vision is to make people happy with my music.
What is your tactic for making the world a better place?
I don’t have a tactic; I consciously make decisions that are sustainable and responsible. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 12. I buy 90% organic food, take the tram or underground or bike it. I recycle my rubbish and take my bottles to the bottle bank. I don’t buy bottled water; instead I use my Brita filter. And of course I buy green energy.
When was the last time you gave back and what did you do?
Together with a gang of friends I organise the charity flea market “KEIN DURST!” (NO THIRST). The money from sales goes 100% to Doctors Without Borders.
What is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?
Phytoplankton glowing in the ocean at night: we stripped off and jumped straight into the water, swimming in the fluorescent water.

Sunset.
