]]>Last week we launched our limited edition T-shirts by Marcelo Burlon – County of Milan and IWISHSUN by inviting everyone to a brunch at SOTO Store. Healthy breakfast, summer temperatures and interesting conversations turned this event into a wonderful experience. For all those who could not join the brunch, we have already presented the highlights here. But who else joined the brunch and took pictures? And who bought one of our collab T-shirts (during the event or online) and presents himself wearing it? We collected the best shots that have been published on Instagram. Beginning with Favelapunk (shot by Marcelo Burlon, @marceloburlon), you can check out the other pictures below:

About the T-shirt in collaboration with Marcelo Burlon:
Taken from his Autumn/Winter collection 2013/14, Marcelo Burlon has designed an exclusive colourway for IWISHUSUN: a limited edition T-shirt adorned by an abstract owl on the front, which also gives an insight into his upcoming collection – the perfect animal to symbolise our mission to ensure eyesight for everyone.
You can now buy your own Marcelo Burlon x IWISHUSUN T-shirt on iwishusun.net. With every T-shirt sold, in cooperation with our partner ORBIS, a cataract eye operation will be financed in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
]]>Designer, DJ, PR consultant, stylist, editor - Milan
Marcelo Burlon is at home in many places: He works as a PR consultant, stylist, and editor; he is a DJ as well as being the man behind County of Milan, his line of striking graphic print T-shirts, which have been taking the fashion market by storm. Clothing by Marcelo Burlon – County of Milan features prints of snakes, Argentinean bird feathers, and esoteric symbols with a nod to the rave and club culture where he feels at home. The symbols on the T-shirts represent Marcelo himself, his love for his native Patagonia, and also the lifestyle he has chosen to live. Marcelo Burlon has designed an exclusive colourway for IWISHUSUN that is now available at our online store - better be quick because the edition is limited to 100 pieces!
“I’m a people’s guy. I just love meeting new and interesting people. I love to connect. That’s what I do best!” he says. At our launch brunch during Berlin Fashion Week we discovered to our joy that he certainly wasn’t exaggerating and we are proud that we gained his support for IWISHUSUN. Welcome Marcelo Burlon as a friend!
What is more important to you, the sense of hearing or sight?
Both are very important, in order to live a decent and normal life but if I had to choose one sense I would say sight. Even if I’m a DJ and sound is really important for expressing myself, sight could encompass everything, even the rhythm.
You are a creative person who is at home in many places. What is your vision for your personal work?
My personal work is based on creating something unique, and my way of communicating ideas is by reprising traditional methods. I like to create moments. Moments where different feelings are expressed or being felt. From music to clothes to parties. Especially when I’m working on the sound design for the shows I always try to play with emotions and make it special.
I also like to integrate my roots: esoteric symbols from the indigenous people of Patagonia and ‘90s rave culture symbols and codes. Folk music.
Your prints of snakes, Argentinean bird feathers, and esoteric symbols pay tribute to your native Patagonia and represent your own identity. What is your favourite print?
My favourite prints are the ones that nobody buys. The ones that the commercial side of this business doesn’t get. Those are my favourite.
Strong colours and unique prints dominate your T-shirt styles. How important is the visual power of your designs?
The visual aspect of my design is everything, because that’s the method of communication here: graphics.
When was the last time you gave back and what did you do?
I gave some cash to a very sweet girl out on the streets. She was on her knees begging in front of a McDonald’s. Just when I was about to give her the money suddenly her iPhone rang, and so I put the money on top of the phone… I was super confused and the whole poetry died.
What is your tactic for making the world a better place?
Trying to feel love for everyone, trying to make love the centre of life.
What is the most beautiful thing you ever saw?
People smiling.
What would you like to see more often?
People smiling.
Sunrise or sunset – what do you prefer?
Sunset, the golden light, the beginning of the night.
What is your sound for IWISHUSUN?
Some classical piano music.
